Meet Our Team

Dr. Caroline Nelson

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Caroline Nelson was raised on the coast of North Carolina and received a Bachelors of Science in Animal Science from North Carolina State University in 2007. She attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, then Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine for clinical training. She graduated and began General Practice in 2011. Dr. Nelson is Fear-free certified and her professional interests include dermatology and dentistry.

She met her match in 2012 while he was stationed in Virginia with the US Navy. Since that time, they have been moving every few years for his job with the Navy. They now have three amazing kiddos and a sweet pup named Hattie. They are loving it in Rhode Island and look forward to settling down here!

Dr. Courtney Perry

Veterinarian

Dr. Perry comes to us with a wealth of small and large animal science knowledge. After graduating from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2021, she has worked in busy private practice settings, honing her surgical, medical, and ultrasound skills. Her favorite part of providing care is getting a feel for what each specific pet in each specific family needs and tailoring her approach accordingly. She finds it extremely rewarding to be able to follow a pet through all the stages of life, to partner with families to deliver care, and to strengthen the human-animal bond in each family.

When she is not working with Bayside pets, she is at home with her silly Bernese Mountain Dog, Tatanka, and her long-haired orange cat, Daphne. Dr. Perry enjoys exploring the local shops and cafes with her husband, reading, going to the gym, and hanging out with friends.

Dr. Tambaschi

Veterinarian

Dr. Tambaschi is a native Rhode Islander who trained at the Royal Veterinary College in London. She graduated in 2014 and stayed in England for 2 years, working mainly in small-animal medicine. In 2016, she and her husband returned to the US and settled in Massachusetts.

Dr. Tambaschi is Fear-Free certified, and her clinical interests include internal medicine, dermatology, and preventative medicine. After several years of caring for patients as a relief veterinarian, Dr. Tambaschi is happy to join us full-time.

Dr. Tambaschi has had many wonderful pets over the years, the most recent being her two orange cats, Ferbz and Cleo.
